"You really should've seen this coming, Feng Xin," Pei Ming said, his voice smooth with a trace of that irritating smugness. "Four years down the drain, and now you're moping about it. What did you expect?" Feng Xin stared at his cup of coffee, trying to tune him out, but it wasn't working. Pei Ming's voice was like nails on a chalkboard, constantly poking at Feng Xin's insecurities, as if he had any right to lecture anyone on relationships. Pei Ming leaned back, arms crossed, a knowing smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "She's going to be there, won't she?" Pei Ming asked, not really caring for an answer. "Do you really want her to think you're so pathetic you can't move on?" Feng Xin winced. That hit too close to home. OR Pretending to date Muqing hadn't been as bad as Feng xin had thought it would be. He was having fun, maybe a little too much fun.
