Surviving The Fear

Emma remembered that night perfectly. Everything about it is permanently etched into her memory. She remembers the gunshot, the smell of dirt from her uncles boots stomping down the stairs, and the sound of a screen door slamming, and thats what scares her. She's returned to the place where it all happened. Her uncles farm.
Luca has a problem. There's a smell he can't track, well, he can track it, he just can't get close enough to it. And this isn't the first time he's smelled this enticing scent. He has smelled it every year during the summer, but it never seemed to bother him until last year when he was stupid enough to follow it all the way to the farm house of his friend Jake Morgan. But that was the last time he ever went at night.

Emma and Luca have a connection. One where at first Emma was terrified, but after dangerous and life changing events unfold, she learns that this connection may be the only thing keeping her alive.
