Operation Recharge, an experimental procedure for military personnel is in its beta testing. General Gary First makes a stop at the Army reserve unit in Chattanooga, TN for those soldiers to be among the very first to go through the experiment. A program designed to turn the person into a temporary lightning element fighting machine, the mere idea is meant to strike fear in terrorists and insurgents alike. 

What the general doesn't take into account is for the procedure to backfire. Staff Sergeant Tabitha Lyght is the lucky volunteer who will be changed forever due to a malfunction. When she awakens hundreds of miles away from her home, she must make some tough decisions on what to do with her life now that she is a lightning element Metahuman.
