No matter where Kalila Bradshaw was, she always had a basketball in her hand. Everyone knew her as the one to beat. All of the endless hours in the gym, five mile runs in the morning, and injuries that she had in the past were now put to test as she tries out for the Varsity team at her high school in her sophomore year. You could say that her life was normal...she had a boyfriend, hated school, and loved basketball. The earliest memory she ever had was shooting hoops with her dad, but that was the only memory she has of him. What happens when she meets Landon Carter, the new kid in town, and doesn't take a liking to him? And what happens when her father comes back after years of his disappearance...with a wife and kids? Kalila's whole world was turned upside down just as all of the puzzle pieces were finally being put together.
