Ghouls are flesh eating monsters who have the ability to heal and summon a kagune. You may think that ghouls and titans are alike because of the fact they also eat humans but Kaya has no choice and physically can't eat human food with out vomiting it up. When she joins the scouts she has no choice but to hide her secret and live off the tea her family taught her to make when she was younger.
