I close my eyes as I let the sensation overwhelm me. Then, out of nowhere, I feel his other hand creep under my shirt. His hand reaches my hip and he massages it. I feel him lowering his face closer to my ear. "I think I already am" is all he replies back with and he kisses my ear. I let out a shaky breath.» ♧︎ Blythe Slater has faced a lot the past two years. I wrote some short stories out of enjoyment. None are connected in any way. Some are dark, others have suicidal actions and thoughts, a few deal with "break-ups".

When someone comes up to you and warns about, "Life is too short", well that's exactly what they mean. Every night, I've looked out my window, just watching for it. They say the monster you see is better than the monster you don't. But, no one who's seen this monster has been able to describe it for us. No one's survived to. For some reason though, I can't help but look. I bet that's why the tourists don't come back from the woods, because they can't stop themselves from looking. That's how it catches them. I hope it doesn't catch me.

I felt a hand under my chin and then I was looking right into Aiden's eyes. "You know that I care about you, right?" He used the same hushed tone. Aiden cared about me? Well, I knew he cared about me, but I didn't know he cared about me. It makes sense. I shrugged. "I don't know," I replied back. "Well, I do. I care about you so much." He whispered. His next move surprised me. He leaned down and placed a soft kiss on my lips that lasted about two seconds before backing away. I looked at the ground, shocked. Oh my god. Aiden just kissed me. Again. And I liked it. A lot. *** Corey Hale and Aiden Praxston don't like each other. At all. Never have, never will. She hates him and he hates her; so she thinks. What Corey doesn't know is that Aiden doesn't, in fact, hate her. He feels the complete opposite.
