When Sue was a child, up to the age of nine she lived by the seaside. Every year the same boy visited her seaside town and played with her. Their families became friends and spent every year doing activities together. Just before Sue's tenth birthday her mother died suddenly due to a heart attack. Their families lost contact. Her father became depressed and eventually hung himself. Sue lived with her Aunt Florence until the age of eighteen. Now at the age of thirty Sue believes her life is over, after a failed marriage and her parents death. She can't remember the name of that little boy anymore. Only his face. After her divorce papers come through she moves back to the seaside town with her daughter Chrissy in a desperate attempt to turn back the clock to back when it all made sense.
