Atalanta Cortes is beautiful, smart and quite abrasive to most parents of her felmow demigods , meaning that she doesn't attract many, if any of the good deities, instead having to settle for attracting as many of the bad ones as possible.

Unfortunately for her best friend , Annabeth , camp rules say that she can't go on a quest until Atalanta befriends the "one", as said in the Great prophecy , so strings are pulled to set the dour demigod with absolutely every single demigod that crosses the border line, which has caused her to develop quite a few new friendships . Soon, Atalanta crosses paths with the intiguing new arrival Percy Jackson. Atalanta may let her guard down to enough befriend Percy while battling with Titans and bitter deities. And hey, what's a few prophecies in the way?
