Meet Riley. She's a socially awkward teen who fan girls about books too much. She aspires to be like Dan and Phil some day, and have a friendship as strong as theirs.( I mean their friendship survived monopoly, who wouldn't want that?) Another thing she wants is a loving home, where she is wanted and cared for. Will Dan and Phil be able to provide that for her? Or will she crack under pressure?

After recovering from a family tragedy, Phil Lester does his best to try to continue with his life like before. It's difficult, but he manages. His mother is still a bit of a mess and he doesn't talk to his brother as much as he'd like to, but he manages. Phil's friends are aware of all that's happened and they try to comfort him, but they don't understand everything in the way that Phil wishes they could. And, after getting to know his target a little better, Dan finds himself falling hopelessly in love with Phil Lester, and therefore unable to perform the assassination as instructed.
