There are three sons of Dracula, each of a different mother. They are the protectors of peace and order within the vampire community. The eldest, Vladimir, is the head count in Romania, taken over after his father died. Dragomir,  second eldest, is head adviser for his brother Vladimir. 
Bored with routine and duty Claudiu, youngest son of Dracula and son of Mina Harker, strays away from being involved in the council. Nothing interest him anymore...until he meets her.
Out of the ashes of peace comes a symbol of war when the Vampires of Vatican seek to destroy the Vampires of Angelica in pursuit of the Jewel.
