"It is said that there are three billion stars in just one galaxy. However, that doesn't come close to the ten billion raindrops in just one, harrowing storm."

When it comes to new situations, fifteen year old Connor Hudson struggles to get through them. So when he ends up moving to a boarding school in Alabama with his nineteen year old brother holding custody of him, things grow lively fairly quickly. New friendships form, new adventures are created and new situations are everywhere he goes. Except when Connor meets Riley Miles, he enters what turns out to be familiar territory, for she is undoubtedly just as irrevocably screwed up as he is.
