Growing up, Calliope Routledge only had her family. She was raised by her dad, "Big John" Routledge, alongside her slightly older brother, John B. Taylor Routledge, Big John's wife, left out of nowhere when John B was three and Callie just celebrated her second birthday. That January, everything changed.

Big John had to raise two kids now by himself.

But it was obvious that Big John was not exactly "Father of the Year." His main focus was on this old shipwreck that happened many years ago: the Royal Merchant. It took over the majority of his attention, which left John B and Callie to kind of raise themselves. But they were not alone. They had the best group of friends you could ask for... the Pogues, as they called themselves.

One day, Big John went missing. He went missing at sea when he was searching for the famous shipwreck. He was presumed dead after three months. The Routledge siblings were on their own. They were just living their lives by trying to escape the threats of foster care and being two teenagers living without adult supervision.

That was until the summer of 2020.

Everything in their lives changed once again.

This time... They had nothing to lose, right?
