Once upon a time, there was a queen. The most evil of them all. So evil, you have to say it twice...once upon a time, there was an evil evil queen...that's better...anyways, this "evil evil queen" is featured in every fairytale story. As you near the end of a chapter, or the end of the book, it will make more sense. The evil evil queen tries to ruin everyone's happy ending, and by the end, it mostly backfires...poor evil evil queen...
