Exactly two years after her father's death on exactly the same date, she notices something odd and how weirdly- she's the only one that seems to notice that they're reliving the same day over and over again. Avery learns that not only her ex-boyfriend had something to do with her father's death, but he's also realizes he's reliving the same day again- and he's not the only one. It's up to them to find out what mistakes Avery's father went through and how to fix them before it's too late.

But when she meets Daniel, a guy who sees right through her distractions, everything starts to change. He doesn't like the way she moves through life so carelessly. She doesn't like how serious he is. And yet, something about him makes her want to try-to be better, to do better. But change isn't easy, and old habits die hard. As she struggles to leave behind the life she's always known, she finds herself torn between the past that made her and the future she's not sure she deserves.
