Ten year old Kristin Linns is just your avarage witch. The only difference between her and her friends is, she killed her father. Seven years later her mom decides to ship her off to boarding school. Suddenly she whisked off to Maine, away from her friends, family, and everything she has ever known. Not only that, but somewhere along the line she is kidnapped and taken to the house where her father died. Confronted with her painful past she is forced to do the one thing she hasn't done since her fathers death. She is forced to embrace her fire.

If you want to read about "Normal" teenagers, maybe this isn't for you, it's more complicated than that. She starts believing that her nightmares give out answers to her dad's death and her future, and she starts to distrust people. And although this seems nearly impossible, and becomes a long journey, Heather is challenged by her school shrink to change and show her mom and little sister that she can turn into her old self again, that is, if she's willing to cooperate with getting help to change, in the blink of an eye.
