On the mysterious island of Tatsumi Port Island, a group of young students from Gekkoukan High School form S.E.E.S. (Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad), a secret team dedicated to fighting the mysterious shadows that emerge during the enigmatic "Dark Hour", a hidden period of time that appears at midnight. Among them are Hiro Mikoshi and Minato Arisato, who play crucial roles in the battle against Tartarus, a colossal tower that only appears during the Dark Hour.
Amid personal dilemmas, old wounds from the past and the increasingly intense dangers of the Shadows, the group finds themselves on a risky mission to save innocent lives, while dealing with secrets that could change everyone's destiny, including their own.
