Phoenix Gray has a secret, one no one knows exists. She protects it in the largest, fullest was possible; by becoming a ghost. Phoenix doesn’t speak, doesn’t interact, or respond or show emotion. She’s a figure, a ghost, a specter; a phantom. She will look at you; like you are not there and if you try to interact she will carry on like you never existed. She will not answer you, write to you, and no one knows if she hears what others say, she never reacts as if she is. She makes herself a shadow, one everyone wants to figure out.

Maggie must not only come to believe in all that she has heard, including that she’s one of these mythical creatures from stories, but also learn how to wield her power to face the creatures that would destroy both worlds Maggie has come to know of. While doing this, Maggie builds friendships she’s never had, must rise above her own self doubt, and quite possibly learn what it means to fall in love.
