What is the world like for someone who can't hear? Do they see things differently? Will they ever know the true beauty of music? Will they ever be able to hear their lover's voice? William Carter, who likes to go by the name Will, had never taken the time to let these thoughts occupy his mind. It was only once he settled in southern Denmark after his countries defeat during World War Two. 

He had taken shelter under the roof of an old farmers house, which just so happened to be located near 'Blue Lake manor', a large,old white structure that sat next to a large lake. 
A property that was occupied by caretakers, and a girl named Guinevere Elwood. 
A boy who lost his home and family, and a girl who's been forced into a secluded life by those who she called her family, because of her inability to hear.
