Life sucks when you're secluded from society merely because of the fact that you're mostly human with a couple animal features, like dragon horns, tails, and ears. Benji, Katona, Gohan, Kyoko, Raion, Dianna, Lapras, Forest, and Akina all know how that feels-- each of them sporting their own unique features-- as they live with two humans, sixteen-year-old Yuffi and her older brother Jacob, with no genuine records of any of them to identify themselves to the government. Constantly wearing hoods over your head and tucking your tail in your pants every time you go out to eat is frustratingly boring, so of course everything takes a wrong turn when Raion and Kyoko's rivalry reveals their true identities on a trip to the park. Now there's the government chasing them down, some weird scientist guys from a company called Tendrilicon, and even a group of weird furry people!
