This fanfiction explores a scenario in which Dazai attempts to end his life but, in the process, loses part of his memory, including his recollection of Chuuya. As a result, Chuuya is left to help Dazai gradually remember him before he finds himself falling for someone else.

"What is love, and how do you get rid of it?" Dazai doesn't typically feel any emotions, at all- or at least he can't understand them. He hates that Chuuya makes him feel emotions, specifically the emotion of love, so he in turn despises Chuuya for it instead. And it's driving him crazy. "I won't let you get away this time." Chuuya is doing his best to get over Dazai, but as usual, nothing goes according to plan for him. No matter how much Chuuya tries to deny it or change them, he can't get rid of his feelings. So he finally does something different about it. What if Soukoku went to a highschool? . Chuuya is a loner at school. He doesn't have any friends and doesn't get good grades. Dazai is a transfer student at Chuuya's school. He noticed that he's always alone so he started to watch him. But weirdly enough he noticed that Chuuya dissapears during lunch breaks, always scribbles something in his notebook during lessons. Plus Dazai hasn't ever seen him in school hallways. After Dostoyevesky's death having Dazai nearly witnessing the death of all of his friends, he finally has an actual change in heart. Despite that, he's plagued with horrid nightmares of everyone dying and all because of him. As always he can't seem to get away from Chuuya either with him being the focal point of every nightmare and it did have an impact on him. Dazai realises he in fact holds strong feelings for the short ginger man. Naturally, of course when one side of double black changes so does the other. All this while trying to deal with 7 missing people and 6 missing families is a lot to juggle.
