This Thing of Ours

The year is 2022 and the five mafia families of New York have been replaced with one mega family: the Duran Syndicate, headed by Feliciano Duran. Feliciano happens to be our hero Artemisia's brother. Artemisia works as an evidence technician for the dc police when a prominent district court judge dies mysteriously, perhaps murdered by the Duran syndicate. Artemisia and a dc police detective named Phoebe Wilson, along with some other randos, work to uncover the corruption into the deepest layers of the government, and to take down the mob. Will the money laundering cease or will everyone's heart activity, respiratory activity, and brain activity cease? We shall find out.*
