Its been a year and a half since the start of the apocalypse and for Vanya Kowalczyk life hasn't been all that bad, she found refuge in a military base early into the apocalypse and joined the soldiers that were already there. However, Vanya and her Lieutenant Gene Adler-Stoll have never gotten along, she finds him dull and stoic and he sees her as mouthy and stubborn, all Vanya can do is endure him however since he's her higher up. After a recent supply run, a soldier turns into an infected right in the middle of the night causing chaos and immediate evacuation, Vanya ends up in a humvee evacuating with her Captain and of course... Her Lieutenant. Even worse for her, her mentally unstable Captain gets himself killed and now she's ONLY stuck with her Lieutenant, things couldn't possible get worse than this...
