Terra Lee Knight, she's the it girl at her not-so-small high school in Seattle, Washington. She's got the highest grades, the nicest clothes, the most popular friends. She's the girl everyone knows at school. The girl other girls envy. The girl every guy wants. But all of that is suddenly snatched away from her when her father's job unexpectedly takes her and her family to a small town in California. She has to start a whole new school with considerably different kids.

Mason Ty Walker, the school's known loner. No one would go as far to say he's the 'bad boy', but that's only because nobody at his school actually knows anything about him. Every time someone tries to talk to him, he ignores them, so eventually everyone stopped trying. He keeps to himself because he doesn't want anyone to get close to him. Everyone he ever cared about left him, so he just stopped caring.

What will happen when these two stubborn teens come into contact?
