Averill is Valerie's twin sister but they don't look alike or act alike at all. When Valerie and Averill were young they always would hang out with the lumber man's son Peter. The three were the best of friends and did everything together, till they grew up, Peter and Valerie pushed her out of the group they had. She always saw Peter and Valerie together all the time. When the wolf attacked a human for the first time in many years Averill starts to get scared but she still goes in the woods looking for it one night. When she encounters the wolf in bits her and things start to change and she starts to become different considering she got bit on the night of one of the blood moons.
