Marinetta is the last daughter of her father to be unmarried. After the fatal death of her lover she hasn't been able to move on much to her fathers annoyance.

One day she's given an ultimatum: Either her father chooses a man for her or she finds a respectable one on her own. Not wanting to be married to an old man she sets of to the north to ask the duke of the north for his hand in marriage.

But time is running out. Will she be able to convince him to accept before she is dragged back home and forced into marriage with a stranger of her fathers choosing?
