They say that in ninth grade, you start to truly form your personality- and if that's true, well, I know who are going to be the future criminals and single parents before school finishes, simply because they ran out of protection.
My name is Amelia. I'm a year older than most of the kids in my class, and I'm a ninth grader. My friends and I are from a cliché highschool with cliché students and three cliché 'groups' with little subdivisions: Jocks, Nerds and Populars. The thing is, no teachers really care, as long as we're good in class. So, we have our social standings.
And at the bottom of the pack, you'll find my friends and I. Well, we'd all fit in just fine- if we didn't mostly come from different groups: Two nerds, a Hipster and a Jock. Yet we're truer friends than the others.
Welcome to ninth grade, I'm Amelia Madding.
Ella is falling apart trying to live a "perfect" high school life. Then she meets Ren, who can see past her scars. Suddenly perfection isn't her only option.
