Sam is a rugby star-captain of his university team, known for his fearless tackles and fierce loyalty on the field. He's never met a problem he can't tackle head-on, whether it's a rival team or a new play. But when he meets Lydia, the quiet and brilliant science major whose research lab just so happens to share a building with his gym, he faces a different kind of challenge. Lydia is an academic prodigy, happiest when surrounded by her test tubes and formulas. She's studying biophysics, aiming to make a groundbreaking discovery in the world of energy dynamics. In her mind, rugby players are all the same-loud, arrogant, and more interested in muscles than the mysteries of the universe. But when a shared campus event throws Sam and Lydia together, their worlds collide in ways they never expected. With Lydia's lab on the brink of losing funding and Sam's team struggling to make the playoffs, the two find themselves in an unlikely partnership. Sam needs to understand the science of athletic performance, and Lydia-begrudgingly-needs his help to gather data. As they work side by side, sparks fly, and assumptions are challenged. But with everything on the line, can these two polar opposites find a way to trust each other? And will their discoveries on and off the field lead to the breakthrough they both need-or a heartache they never saw coming?

Sacha Ozerova has always been good at keeping people at a distance. Between her studies and her passion for fashion, she's built a life that doesn't leave much room for complications, especially not the kind that come with feelings. Then she meets Daniel, a driven and talented hockey player with an effortless confidence and a patience that throws her off balance. He sees through her walls, and despite every instinct telling her to keep him at arm's length, he refuses to walk away. But Sacha has learned that love isn't always safe. And the closer she lets him in, the more she risks losing control over the life she's carefully built. As they navigate ambition, fears, and the weight of unspoken things, Sacha will have to decide if she's willing to fight for more than just survival. Because sometimes, the hardest thing isn't falling, it's letting yourself be caught. A story about love, healing, and finding the courage to trust that some people are meant to stay.
