In the subterranean city of Iacon, fifty cycles after the war with the Quintessons presumably ended, you continue to reside with Sentinel Prime in his glorious tower, which has stood out among the metropolis. With Energon becoming more and more scarce, Cybertronian society has to rely on miners who've spent their lives in the mines in search of raw Energon. Sentinel, along with his forces, has been searching for the Matrix of Leadership ever since it's been lost.

With your extensive knowledge of the cartology of Cybertron's surface, you've offered your help to Sentinel countless times to aid him in the search. However, he always managed to talk you out of it. After the Iacon 5000 was finished, you decided to take on your journey to the surface. Before your departure, you realize this journey will be for something far more unexpected.
