Dazai is badly wounded in battle and finds himself at Chuuya's mercy. Old betrayals and unsaid truths rise to the surface as Chuuya fights to keep Dazai alive, despite the pain of their shared past. Guilt-ridden, Dazai tries to leave, convinced he doesn't deserve saving, but Chuuya refuses to let him go without facing their history.
