After his death-defying stunt in Svartalfheim, Loki is pardoned for his crimes and given a chance to return to Midgard and help the Avengers find his scepter. His only goal is to get out of Asgard and he certainly has no desire to make friends, but there's something about the Black Widow...
Steve's had an interesting time adjusting to the 21st century, but it's been a bit easier since the Invasion of New York. If it was good for one thing, it was that it introduced him to Natasha Romanoff, his best friend (whom he sorta-kinda made out with on a mall escalator and whom he would very much like to do that again with).
Needless to say, Loki and Steve don't exactly click.

A Queen For Loki
On Asgard, Odin is critically ill, possibly even dying. Odin has banished Loki to Midgard for all eternity. Odin has sent for Thor to take the throne but Thor refuses because he doesn't want to leave Jane. Thor convinces Odin to lift Loki's banishment, so that Loki can take the throne. Odin then sends Thor to Midgard to find Loki. With the help of Heimdall, Thor finds Loki. He's singing in a Midgardian rock band. Once back on Midgard, Thor tells the Avengers that he must get Loki, so he can take the throne. Thor needs someone to talk to Loki on his behalf. Someone that Loki doesn't know. So, Thor enlists the help of a young woman who's in training to be an Avenger. However, the young woman is the little sister of an Avenger, who doesn't want her to do it. The young woman agrees to do it in spite of her brother's wishes. Thor and the young woman go to the club that Loki is working in so that she can talk to him. The young woman finds Loki and talks to him. When they first met, Loki and the young woman don't see eye to eye, but she manages to convince Loki to go back to the Avengers Tower and talk to Thor. Loki ends up falling in love with the young woman and wants to make her his queen. When Loki arrives at Avengers Tower to talk to Thor, Loki tells Thor that he won't leave without the young woman because he has chosen her as his queen. When Loki tells the young woman that he wants her to go back to Asgard with him as his queen, her brother refuses to let her go. This makes the young woman mad, and she decides to go back with Loki just to spite her brother. Now Loki must convince this high-spirited young woman that he really loves her. While on Asgard, the young woman starts to develop feelings for Loki and ends up falling in love with him. On Asgard, tragedy strikes the royal family, which causes the young woman to get closer to Loki. Will she stay on Asgard and become Loki's queen, or will she go back to Midgard?Complete

When Steve went to return the stones, he's not only bringing the stones with him but the slightest hope of bringing Natasha back. No one really expected how easy to get the sacrifice back opposite to how hard it was to get the stone, but no one's gonna complain on getting Natasha Romanoff back, it was what everyone wanted. After Steve got Natasha back they sat down for a moment and talked about the possibilities of Steve staying in his original time. What happens if he stays, how will it affect Natasha? In this alternate universe, Loki is sent to Midgard after the fight over the Aether. The Avengers question the Allfather's sanity, but agree they would rather have Loki where they can keep an eye on him. So, after some extensive remodeling, the Avengers Tower and neighboring facilities are now an extensive training ground with everything they'll need to reform the once proud Asgardian prince. Thor is hopeful. He wants the brother he thought Loki was back. Clint (Hawkeye) is waiting for a reason to exact some much deserved revenge.
