Meet Serenity. She lives a life full of fear; afraid to hand her trust over to a single soul.
She's been hurt so many times, she feels as if one crack would shatter her world. So she keeps herself locked inside her own her own little world, not letting anyone in.

But what if one guy can change her outlook on life with just a few words?
When a guy unexpectedly stumbles into her life without her even trying, she's amazed at the way he stands out to her. He somehow makes her feel good inside -- something she hasn't felt in years.
In fear, she tries to push him out of her life but instead finds herself feeling safer around him.

Maybe what Serenity needs is to be shattered after all. Maybe instead of breaking her, it just turns out to be a breakthrough. Maybe a shattered world is actually a way of letting people, who you don't realize how much you need, into your life.

Story Highlights: He was once the light in every room-charming, generous, full of effortless warmth. Raised in comfort and surrounded by love, his world was golden and untouched by sorrow. But life shifted-quietly. The boy who gave so much began turning inward, learning to care for himself in silence. Laughter faded. Connections dimmed. Though wealth remained, he chose to rebuild from his own scars. Maturity wasn't a choice-it was survival. Now, he moves through life as a stylish, enigmatic wanderer-fit, guarded, alone. He trusts less, feels deeper, and carries secrets no one knows. Yet beneath it all, he waits-for something real, for someone who sees all of him. She, on the other hand, was born into silence. A soft, chubby girl with kind eyes who grew up under the weight of control, judgment, and emotional bruises. Her home lacked safety. The world, even less. But in her darkest moments, she found strength-in a quiet prayer, in a movie that sparked hope, in a spiritual bond with Ganesha that anchored her soul. Slowly, she stitched herself back together-becoming fierce in love, loud in laughter, and deep in belief. She doesn't need saving. She needs to be seen-for the strong woman she's become and the wounded girl she carries within. What happens when two broken souls-one guarded by silence, the other forged in pain-cross paths not in chaos, but in quiet? When love doesn't come to rescue, but to reveal? Can he open his heart again? Can she believe that love, this time, will stay? Will he return to his family not as the boy who left, but as the man love helped him become? Will she finally be seen-not as someone to fix, but as someone to cherish?

He had his arms crossed over his chest, a gesture that could possibly get him knocked out in this place. He looked as though he could fake a tough guy but at heart he was gentle. I had good instincts and they were screaming to steer clear of this guy. Why? Because he would break my heart. Why is that all the best relationships happen at the strangest of times? Laurel meets Trey inside of a Juvenile Detention Centre and the two of them become closer than anything. For Laurel, Trey was the first friend in her life.
