"Dude, you are in deep," Luke said, lying on his back on top of a ring float. The small waves from the wind and the boat, that was on the other side of the lake, pushed him closer to me.
I put no effort into the splash I sent in his general direction. "I know, dork. That's why I'm complaining to y'all about it."
"I don't think it's helping you much," Quinn said, moving just enough to evade my hand that I slapped towards him. He almost fell off his float and into the water. If it were any other day I would've laughed, but it wasn't.
Jack had his girlfriend in the Hughes' boat. He had brought her to the lake house; to Sunshine Shack. He had every right, he didn't know I was in love with him.
