Or; Astro remembers his mistakes and regrets not alerting the others prior to the mistake. 
(I kind of lost the plot and it turned to moonflower?? so?? take that as you will.)

(Reminder this is my take on what happened prior and after the ichor operation. None of this is confirmed canon or anything.)
