A Cornetto Crossover

Shaun is devastated when Liz leaves him, walking away and giving him no second chances. He is sure, even after a pep talk from his best friend Ed, that Liz is all that matters and can't picture a life without her. On top of all that, she leaves the day they're due to set off on their trip to Sandford, Gloucestershire.

Despite being part of the reason why Liz left Shaun in the first place, Ed is determined to put the pep back into his friend's step. Barely five minutes after Liz walks round the corner, he has only one suggestion: "we can still go on that trip."

Gary King is an unashamed alcoholic. Either that, or he's horribly in denial - Andy Knightley has been there on every hungover Monday morning to tell him that. But Gary's selective memory sets his sights on a new quest: a long forgotten pub crawl in Sandford, Gloucestershire, which almost completely died out in the wake of the tragedies surrounding the Butterman family, and the subsequent founding of the NWA.

With a carefully crafted map in hand, the beast filled with petrol, and Andy reluctantly in tow, Gary sets out on his quest, intent of becoming "King of the Sandford pub crawl." But with a friend like Andy in tow, it isn't exactly going to be easy.

Nicholas Angel and Danny Butterman have been partners in crime - or more accurately, crime solving - for a couple of years now. They can't imagine what their lives would be like without each other, despite the crime rate having fluctuated since the dissolution of the NWA. With this dissolution though, also came a fluctuation in Danny's mood. The Butterman name, once respected, felt tarnished in his mind, and only Nicholas really knew how deep that feeling ran.

So after a bad week on the force, one where every attempt at solving crime falls flat, even Nicholas feels Danny needs to let loose for a while, and grow his confidence back. But in a small town like Sandford, adventure is seldom.

Or at least, that's what they think.
