The Z Contingency
The zombie apocalypse is coming. A scientist at the CDC has that terrifying realization when infected victims start displaying the symptoms predicted by his model. A virus responsible for hemorrhagic fevers is mutating into something that zombifies its victims instead of killing them. Realizing the only hope is to get ahead of it, he sets out to create a vaccine, but to create a vaccine he needs a sample of the virus. He tries to enlist the aid of a colleague to help him create the very virus he wants to eradicate, but she refuses on ethical grounds. Witnessing the horrific transformation of an infected patient forces her to reconsider, but before they can start working on a vaccine, their virus samples are stolen. As they criss-cross the country on a hunt for a cure, the paths of the two scientists cross those of a shadow organization on a secret mission, and a loose-knit network of zombie prepper groups whose loyalties are unclear. The scent of the short teen used to have was gone, replaced with the putrid smell of death and rot that covered the whole room and the killer himself. Blood smudged all over the teen and onto the older man as he attempted to escape. He got hungry and tired. He just wanted to eat and then sleep. He was preparing the girl, cutting her body apart and tearing the flesh off the bones, which is why the room was such a mess with her blood. Now, he had the boy in his hands. The hunger overtook him. The sharp pain of large "canine" teeth being plunged into his neck made Cameron scream. It was cut short, his whole body freezing up as the crazy man sunk his large fangs into his neck, ripping a large chunk of the boy's flesh in between his teeth. The pain only got worse when he felt the killer tug harshly, pulling his flesh out... ----- A gang of delinquents becomes lost in a forest, pursued by a frightening masked figure. He hunts them down individually, resembling a stalking wolf, wielding a crude knife fashioned from animal bones. As they struggle to survive, the teens also grapple with the harsh environment that challenges them.
