Amara [Rafe Cameron]

On the shores of North Carolina, Amara Trujillo-Rivera has spent most of her life growing up alongside Figure 8 royalty Rafe and Sarah Cameron as the child of their maid.

Rafe, her childhood bully, made her life a living hell, while Sarah was the one person she could always count on. After a cruel prank on Rafe's part, Amara spends a couple of years in her native Honduras, where her loving cousins worked to help find and gain her confidence.

Back and ready to take on Kildare Academy (aka Kook Academy) she starts her senior year while Rafe is stuck back home, having flunked out of college and forced to help run the family business. But when he sees Amara for the first time in two years, he's blown away by how much she's changed. Suddenly, she's the one turning heads, and Rafe can't stand that other guys are noticing her too.

With Sarah's support, Amara is fitting in with the Kooks and even making friends with fellow outcast Kiara Carrera. Meanwhile, Rafe is battling his feelings for her while trying to keep her confidence in check. Amara is determined to move on from her past crush on Rafe, focusing on her future and even catching the eye of the charming JJ Maybank. But Rafe's jealousy is brewing, and he'll have to decide if he's going to keep being the bully or finally admit how he really feels about the girl he once tormented and can't get out of his head.
