"Code?"
The first word sliced through the fog clouding her mind. Siyara blinked, her vision adjusting to the harsh, fluorescent light.
"I'm sorry?" she whispered, her voice hoarse as she tried to sit up.
Her breath hitched. Fourteen men in dark green uniforms stood in formation, guns aimed squarely at her. Their faces were unreadable, masks of discipline and suspicion.
Throwing her hands into the air, she stammered, "I'm not a bad person, I swear! I was just paragliding with my work friends! I don't know how I ended up here-I'm sorry! I'll just go-"
She keeps ranting until a heavy, thick voice laced with sin and authority moves through the green embelm of men.
