Worlds Apart, Hearts Aligned* tells the story of Minji, a city girl born into wealth and privilege, who has never wanted for anything, and Hanni, a humble girl from the countryside who works hard to support her family. Minji's life is one of excess-expensive clothes, luxury vacations, and careless spending-while Hanni, the daughter of Minji's family driver, values every small joy in her simple life.
One summer, Minji is brought to her family's countryside estate, expecting boredom and isolation. But there, she meets Hanni, whose warmth and kindness challenge everything Minji thought she knew. Hanni introduces Minji to a world of simple pleasures-climbing trees, swimming in the river, and laughing freely without pretense. For the first time, Minji learns what it means to live beyond wealth, appreciating the richness of true friendship.
As their bond deepens, the two girls face challenges from their families and the social expectations that separate them. When Minji's parents plan to send her abroad, the girls must confront their fears and the strength of their friendship.
"Worlds Apart, Hearts Aligned" is a touching story of two young women discovering the power of connection and understanding, learning that true wealth lies in the bonds we build with others. Through Hanni's influence, Minji transforms, finding purpose and compassion in a world that once seemed small, yet now feels boundless with possibility.

She hated riding the subway.
It was cramped, smelled, and the seats were extremely uncomfortable to sit on for hours on end.
Now add a group of crazy mask-wearing, weapon-wielding, maniacs to the ever growing list of reasons why Gemma hated riding the subway.
Gemma Conners is your average eighteen year old and for the past two years she's been riding the subway to and from school with no problem. She always expected the same ol' same ol'. Cramped spaces, hard seats, and perverts staring her up and down and "accidentally" bumping into her and blaming it on the train as it jostled people into one another.
Never did she expect a group of masked men to rush in and hold everyone onboard hostage, demanding that they all play along with their sick and twisted idea of a "game".
It was either that or die.
To add on to her ever growing list of problems, one of the passengers onboard just so happens to be Archer Daniels, your typical high school "heartthrob" and Gemma's classmate. Her day just kept getting better and better.
With Gemma's luck, she'd be lucky if she lasted five minutes.
Yep. She really hated the subway.
