The Lost Night
It's hard being the first dragon of a new species. Especially if your father is the last one of his kind. The last Nightfury. Sure, there's Deadly Nadders, Razorwhips, Stormcutters, Sand Wraiths but no Nightfurys. Lost in a world that no longer remembers dragons, hunted by relentless scientists, and struggling to survive, the duo has no idea that their past isn't as far behind them as they think.... And as authorities tighten their grip and mysteries unravel, two outsiders, Lil and Mark, stumble upon the mystery and soon realize they've uncovered something much bigger than themselves.... Trying to survive in an unfamiliar world, with threats seemingly everywhere, will Hiccup and Toothless find a place in this new world? Or will they be forced down a path? Where allies and friends are hard to find, will Hiccup and Toothless continue on alone? . . . Set after "How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World". An AU, where the dragons stayed and a battle over New Berk changes everything for Hiccup and the other riders. My version of a modern AU.
