Kate Baker is a stay at home mom while her husband manages a college football team full time. Half the time, he comes home after dinner is over and the kids are in bed. His absence has made it hard for Kate as she has become lonely and struggles to handle the kids on her own while working on her new book. She decides she could use some help, so she decides she needs a nanny.

You are a 25 year old college drop out with aspirations to become a fiction author, but desperately need a job. You see Kate's ad and decide to jump at the opportunity. Upon meeting Kate, there is an instant connection between you two being writers and something else you can't quite put your finger on. In the following months, your relationship with Kate will take an unexpected blossoming turn.
