She was what everyone wanted but never got. She was what people longed for but could never keep. Iris Rain. The most popular girl in Badison High School. She had the looks, the money, the smile. Other girls at school couldn't even pretend to hate her-everyone wanted to be her friend. She wasn't like the mean rich girls from the movies. If anything, she was the opposite: warm, friendly, and just out of reach, like a star that everyone wanted to touch but no one could hold onto.
Then there was Alex Reed. Just your typical nerd, more comfortable buried in a book or scribbling away on a story than doing... well, anything else at school. Not that he was bullied or picked on-he was just there. Sure, he had a couple of friends, but nothing really exciting was going on for him. He was practically invisible.
You're probably thinking, 'Is this going to be one of those cliché stories about the nerd and the popular girl falling in love, blah blah blah?' And you're right!

They used her money and these four guys, she'll see them again at school and that bothers her so much. She don't feel love or hurt from guys anymore. Her heart is numb. It feels nothing. For guys. These four guys made Jessica a cold and heartless person.
