My name is Elija. I have fought tooth and nail for my happiness yet in the end I let it slip out of my fingers every time. I constantly fail to keep a good thing going and when life gets better there's always something to take all of it away from me. My motivation thins as the time and years grow thick, and I have thought about giving up on life only a couple times. I am human, and my little life is exactly that- little, underwhelming, and, in the grand scheme of things, nothing. I am 17 and I am completely alone yet never given peace and solace. I am used to losing.

This book contains mental health issues and talk of suicide. It is based around a girl who struggles with MH daily from the minute she wakes up until the second she goes to bed. She has a sad view on life but she really wants to be better so she doesn't give up, no matter what. Give Elija a chance and she just might surprise you more than she surprises herself.

This is for the struggling teens of today who will feel lighter in one of their tomorrows.
