I don't usually write this kind of fanfic, usually I just insert myself into new scenarios with characters I like soooo if this is crap that's why. Basically Thomas isn't immune and Newt infects him.

This Could be Paradise: After the Death Cure
Warning! This story contains spoilers from The Death Cure! Thomas and the Right Arm are going to take down Wicked. The plan is for Thomas to plant the bomb and wait for the other gladers to come. Elicia's orders are to get everyone out of the building before it blows. She searches every room, until she comes across a boy. It's Newt. Everything has its place
Thomas' new life began in a metal box lurching through an elevator shaft. Confused, scared and filled with curiosity, he thinks the boys laughing maliciously at him are going to roast him over an open fire and eat him. When that doesn't happen, he's left with too many questions about who he is and where he came from. In his heart, though, he knows that he must become a Runner. A boy who is chosen to run through their prison, a Maze, and find an escape. This is a rewrite of the Maze Runner movies. I don't really know if rewrite is the right word, but I'm using this as an opportunity to practice my writing. It'll follow the structure of the movies with minor adjustments, especially just now in the first one. Later on more adjustments will happen, I think. I also want to include Newt/Thomas in this rewrite as I find the ship cute. My writing is a bit clunky and all-over-the-place but I hope you enjoy :) Please feel free to offer constructive criticism. It will always be welcome. Also, feel free to point out any mistakes or things that don't make sense? I've also posted this on AO3 under the same name :)

They finally got to the safe haven. Fortunately, Newt survived and Teresa survived. Thomas starts acting stranger and more distant every day. He gets some memories back from before the maze and remembers about the supernatural. It's even scarier - what he's going through - because he recognizes everything that happens. There's a voice, whispered riddles. Whispers by the same, old, rusty voice. Thomas doesn't tell anyone. He tried to, but something stopped him from talking. The nogitsune is in control again. enemies to lovers all ik is I rewatched tmr series being a sheep beforehand and liking Thomas the most but I have come to the realisation that newt clears. and my favourite trope is enemies to lovers but newts character makes it nearly impossible for it to be natural so I'm trying my best and we will see if this story makes it to the end depending on how long my mini hyperfixation will last. heavily inspired by the book by glademother I've already read it twice in one week but I need new substance and no other book devours like that one did so I'm just gonna fulfill my own needs like I should.

Newt was never immune. We all know that. But what if he survived the Flare through a different way? What if he didn't die from the stab?
