One normal day is not so normal for Prince Lucien of Sclermana, a Sclofreas, or heat creature. His mother is dying, and the only way he could help her is by contacting their enemies, the Woerens, or wet creatures. The royal Woeren family of Forieana comes and helps his mother, but only if Lucien will marry one of the Forieana princesses: Emmaline, the oldest --at his age, Liora, the middle --two years younger than him, or Kyela, the youngest--six years younger than him.

Liora's life is normal, until the day she and her family has to visit Sclermana again, this time for marriage with heir to the throne. The only realistic options for Lucien to marry is Emmaline or Liora, but Emmaline's set on inheriting the Forieana crown...

Lucien and the princesses of Forieana seem to not get along at all. Emmaline is cold as stone to Lucien, Liora avoids him completely, and Kyela seems to get distracted by everything else imaginable. Could Lucien actually fall in love with one of these girls, or will he just have to suffer through an unfortunate marriage? All the while he tries to make do with the Forieana princesses, he struggles with his own fire powers and keeping them under control, making sure to not let his heat mix with their wet.
