A man and a woman, struggling to manage their lives, fall in love against the backdrop of 1990s Washington DC. He's a young professor, trying to deal with the emotional fallout of his divorce, while she's a workaday career woman, trying to deal with her own self worth and success. Amidst family strife and the hustle of chocolate city, they try make their relationship work in spite of it all.
