Once I knew only darkness and stillness my life was without past or future but a little word from the fingers of another fell into my hand that clutched at emptiness, and my heart leaped to the rapture of living. That emptiness I knew, was slowly being filled with sweet words of nothing.

What is a heartbeat? A mere beat in your chest as to keep your body pumping its blood. There is nothing wrong with Sana's heart. It pumps perfectly, never once missing its beat and always keeping at a constant rhythm.

Sana is never surprised, never feels enough to make her heart even miss the smallest amount of a skip in beats.

She doesn't feel. She doesn't love. She can't know what it's like to have her heart beat faster for a friend let alone a lover. For a heart to never go out of its constant thump is worse than not having a heartbeat at all.

So what's the one thing Sana wants in this world? How to have a heartbeat maybe?
