Here I sit playing Solitaire. Welcome to an ongoing collection of my life and perspective. People say I write poetry, but I much prefer the, "stream-of-consciousness." view that was given to Virginia Woolf's literary works. In this collection you will find me at my middle years of life, often reflecting on myself or observing those around me and then reflecting on how it affects me. I hope you find yourself able to enjoy a look into my journey thus far.

Trapped in my own head
She is an outcast. She finds it easier to express what she feels in the form of writing. Whether it is poems, letters or long texts. These are poems that she writes trying to describe how it feels to live with certain mental health issues, in a world that disregards outcasts. So, these are on the darker side of the spectrum. Some poems might be distressing for some readers. I personally enjoy consuming dark content, it's kinda like a coping mechanism. I really hope none of you relate with any of these :) I'll be posting only poems here, I'll try to be as active as I can. The poems are not in any order. Introspection: Poems by a Ruminator
When hardship is experienced, it is only human of us to think on the past. Sometimes though, we end up in a cycle of rumination, reliving events that cannot be changed; we become depressed in our memories. Writing can be therapeutic, so here is a collection of poetry exploring a range of sad and confronting memories. By sharing these poems, I hope to not only further my journey towards peace with the past but to connect with others out there who may be feeling the same way. Beneath The Light of a Dying Star
In these pages, the world is both light and heavy-sometimes in the same breath. This is a catch-call collection of my own poetry, prose and/or lyrics that I've accumulated over the years that I related to and enjoyed writing and re-writing. I don't know, I just hope you enjoy them or find some comfort in them as well. :) Also, possibly relevant, I'm queer, autistic/adhd and very traumatized so if you relate, you might, like idk, relate to these maybe or they may be a little too real??
Madness
Mind is a wonderful thing.. it's something that makes us-humans, different from one another. We all have a nose,a mouth, two hands, two feet, two eyes, one head-it's the mind inside that head that makes a difference. It's the mind that decides our character, it decides our actions, it defines our life,it's our mind that makes us love or hate something or someone. People aren't all bad or all good.. they have a touch of both but it's the mind that tricks us into loving or hating a person. Most of the times we don't actually love a person, we love the image of the person that our mind creates based on our memories with that person & same goes for the hate as well, we have bad memories with a person, we have a bad image of the person which leads to us hating that particular individual. We don't see people for who they actually are, we don't see the world for what it actually is, we merely see the image of it that our mind has created, the world for us is nothing more than an illusion. Our own personal illusion.. What's funny is that no one's ever going to know your illusion-your world as it is for you.. Despite all of the brilliant illusions that our mind creates, mind itself is the greatest creation of the mother nature. Without mind-this great tool, there would've been no cell phones, no television, no books, no music, no love, no hate, no life. nothing! But in reality, the mind is but a twisted yarn of madness. Yet every mind is great in itself. And didn't they say..? "No great mind has ever existed without a touch of madness" -with love, Harika

One of the favourite lessons reading books has taught me is that you're never alone, not alteast in thoughts and words. There are others who think like you, feel like you and react like you. It's like that sometimes, our unspoken thoughts are the bridges that connect us, even though we might be miles apart. And so, I've written them down in the hope that there are many out there in this world who would be willing to walk these bridges leading to me-the real, raw and unhidden self I am- my heart and mind and soul. I hope for this to become a place of comfort for anyone who needs it. Poetry is a beautiful way to put whatever's on one's mind into words, especially for someone like me who's not so great at expressing so upfront. I want this to a place where we can all find instances of clarity knowing we all think, feel, and experience the same, maybe not exactly the same but somewhat.
