A proposal and mistrust.

A crown for the winner to take home.

The deal was simple: participate in the pageant, take the crown, and be a winner. Set the tickling clock back a couple of years ago, and reinvent everything I had forgotten in the bitterness of regret.

But somewhere along the way- everything became twisted. Maybe, I was too greedy.

I became entangled with things much deeper than a simple crown, and tainted desires impossible to get away from. He was a stray from light that appeared in a fancy pressed suit, a lurking temptation that promised to transform my life how I wanted it to. An irresistible passion for the dangers of temptation.

But good things don't come as they seem. And the devil disguises himself as an angel of light.

Distrust, betrayal, loyalty, and the darkest but purest form of love I encountered. Blinded by what I thought love was-I forgot the main motive for this proposal: papa.

Most importantly, who was going to tell me that something much sinister lurked in the shadows of glamour? And that loving a single man would entangle me deeper under the threatening world of fame?
