The Silent Watcher (A Short Story)

Young Alex, drawn to an abandoned house on the edge of the woods, ventures inside and discovers a hidden room. There, a ghostly woman, once a renowned artist, reveals she's trapped and can only be freed by completing her unfinished painting. Despite his fear, Alex agrees to help. As he finishes the masterpiece, the woman is freed and vanishes, leaving Alex with the sense of having brought peace to the haunted house.
