Emrys Solace is completely normal. She lives with her single mother in New York City, plays volleyball, and has a best friend, Sam. Nothing about her is extraordinary besides her impeccable social skills in awkward situations.
That is until a five-minute walk turns into new worlds of adventures and problems that all find her in the center. She now has to venture into a new world that she is supposed to save, go across the country to get some stone, and try to figure out what the hell is going on, all while trying to make it back in time before her mom calls the secret service or whatever to find her.
